JO DURR - Salina, KS 8/21/2025 One of the things I really enjoy about Please Go Away travel is all of the neat off the main radar things we get to do! Today, as we traveled from Monterey to Modesto, we made 3 really interesting stops:• Pezzini Artichoke Farm – This family has been here growing artichokes for over 100 years. He took us through the process of growing through harvest. Also go to have an artichoke cupcake – very similar to using zucchini I think.• Sciatica Family Olive Oil – I now know more about olive oil than I ever imagined! It’s amazing what true, extra virgin, fresh olive oil tastes like! And the different flavors you can get it in! It surprised me that I really enjoyed this so much! Check out their website.• Rodin Family Farm – This place was an almond orchard. We ate almonds right off the tree! They also had every imaginable flavor and seasonings for all their nuts. Plus, every fresh fruit and veggies! I sampled so much I don’t really need to eat dinner! |

It’s a step out of one’s comfort zone that lets you experience northern lights, feeding reindeer, having a dog sled ride, eating reindeer, enjoying good food and being with others having fun as well! The cabin and glass igloo were very nice accommodations! Helsinki was an interesting place to explore and see sights there too! Their library is amazing! Memories! |

The lobster man was disappointing as he seemed to be showcasing himself ahead of telling information about lobsters! His speaking also was so fast that it was difficult to internalize the information he was telling the audience! We absolutely loved the trip! It was an adventure getting home from NYC as ship was late getting to NYC. Got to the airport okay, bag checked, but by the time I got to the gate, plane was backing up to taxi. Grrrrr. Was told next flight to KC was next morning (Sunday) but an agent found seats for me to go to Detroit and then to KC Saturday evening. Long story short I got to KC about 5 hours later than planned and my suitcase was right there in the baggage office. So all ended well. But an adventure nonetheless Again thanks again for all you do for me and now for us I scheduled another transatlantic with Cunard for May 2025. |

Everything went smooth as butter, there wasn't anything that happened that I wasn't expecting or prepared for. In fact, the whole thing was so easy it was shocking. Embarkation took less than 20 minutes total. We spent longer in the security line at Sea-Tac coming home than we did in any line connected with the cruise. Having all the transfers arranged took the stress out of everything. We can't wait to go again! I'm hoping for the New England and Canada cruise. My husband still thinks he'd like to do a Riverboat cruise too. Either way, we'll reach out for your assistance and will be spreading the word about how amazing you were to work with! |
