Terms and Conditions - Please Go Away Vacations (Personally Escorted)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION HOW TO RESERVE & RESERVATION DEPOSIT AMOUNTS -- Reservation procedures and amounts shown on any tour departure brochure may vary and if they do they are in place of the following terms and conditions. Please ask and be sure you understand. To reserve on a "Please Go Away™ Vacations” departure the applicable reservation deposits, as described below, must be forwarded to your travel agency along with a signed reservation form. Spaces are not secured until Please Go Away™ Vacations accepts your reservation, which will automatically occur unless you are informed of no spaces remaining available for you. You will receive invoice for balance due and "Tour Tips" memos containing departure times, clothing suggestions, hotel lists, and other items of essential information at appropriate times before departure. Questions are welcomed at any time. Reservation deposit amounts are as shown below unless otherwise stated on individual tour itinerary/brochure. Reservations made within 45 days of departure are subject to a late reservation surcharge. Because of our concern for their safety, and for the comfort of all tour members, children 5 years of age and younger cannot be accommodated on tours involving motor coach travel, unless it is a specifically designed departure for children. A. U.S. & CANADA MOTOR COACH AND/OR AIR ITINERARIES: ∙ 1 & 2 day itineraries - full payment ∙ 2 & 3 day itineraries - $100.00 per person ∙ 4 day and longer itineraries - $200.00 per person Full payment due when invoiced - approx. 60 - 75 days before departure. B. FOREIGN FEATURES (EXCLUDING CRUISES): ∙ $450.00 per person unless otherwise indicated on the brochure. Full payment due when invoiced - approx. 75 - 90 days before departure. C. CRUISE ITINERARIES: ∙ 1 thru 7-day itineraries - $500.00 per person unless otherwise indicated on the brochure. ∙ 8-day & longer itineraries - $750.00 per person unless otherwise indicated on the brochure. Full payment due when invoiced - approx. 90 - 100 days before departure. CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS Important: Our offices are not open on Saturdays, Sundays, or legal holidays. The number of days notification requirements listed must be increased accordingly by you to provide appropriate notice. Regardless of reasons, cancellations and transfers result in a costly process of letters, toll calls, record adjustments, refund checks, etc. plus a loss if time does not permit resale. To help offset these expenses, the following assessments will apply. In fairness to others, we cannot make exceptions. In addition to the amounts shown there will be an additional late cancellation administration fee of $25 for all cancellations occurring within 30 days of departure. A. CONTINENTAL U.S. MOTOR COACH AND/OR AIR TOURS: ∙ No shows and cancellations the day of departure receive no refund. ∙ 1 day itineraries - cancellations made up until 14 days before departure receive full refund less any non recoverable fees or charges imposed by suppliers of tour components. 1 to 13 days before departure -- no refund. ∙ 2 - 4 day itineraries - cancellations received in our Great Bend office up to 45 days prior to departure receive full refund less any non recoverable fees or charges imposed by suppliers of tickets, tours or other component tour services. From 45 days to 31 days of departure there will be a $100 per person cancellation assessment plus any non-recoverable fees or charges imposed by suppliers of tickets, tours or other component tour services. Within 30 days of departure — no refund. ∙ 5-day or longer itineraries - Cancellations received in our Great Bend office up to 60 days prior to departure receive full refund less any non recoverable fees or charges imposed by suppliers of tickets, tours or other component tour services. From 60 days to 31 days of departure there will be a $200 per person cancellation assessment plus any non recoverable fees or charges imposed by suppliers of tickets, tours or other component tour services. Within 30 days of departure — no refund. ∙ Different cancellation terms may be set forth on a few individual tour descriptions, in which case they shall control. B. NON CONTINENTAL U.S. MOTOR COACH, AIR TOURS, CRUISES OKA (otherwise known as) FOREIGN FEATURES: ∙ Cancellations on Foreign Features normally result in very severe monetary cancellation assessments, sometimes even totaling 100%, or more. Since they can vary considerably you need to inquire about (and understand) the specific terms, conditions and amounts of each individual departure. · If cancellation is received by Cheyenne Travel/Please go Away™ Vacations more than 95 days prior to commencement of services, your deposit will be refunded less any non recoverable fees or charges imposed. · 100-75 days before departure, normal brochure deposit amount plus any non recoverable fees or charges imposed by any tour component. · 74-50 days before departure, 50% of brochure cost plus any non recoverable fees or charges imposed by any tour component. · 49-25 days before departure, 75% of brochure cost plus any non recoverable fees or charges imposed by any tour component. · 24 for fewer days before departure, 100% of brochure cost plus any non recoverable fees or charges imposed by any tour component. Different cancellation terms may be set forth on a few individual Foreign Feature descriptions in which case they shall control. Different cancellation terms may be set forth on a few individual cruise tour descriptions in which case they shall control. Special note on all Cancellations and Transfers, regardless of type of travel—in addition to all of the above provisions, where specially priced or other reserved tickets, including air tickets, are involved, there may be additional charges imposed. REFUNDS FOR MOTOR COACH-ONLY DEPARTURES - CANCELLATIONS OCCURRING AFTER DEPARTURE: When one person cancels or leaves a tour and a roommate remains, the rate applicable to the remaining person will be the tour rate for the new class of accommodations; and will be assessed to canceling party as additional cancellation charges. If this occurs it may well mean cancellation charges in excess of monies previously paid in by canceling party. EARLY RESERVATIONS BENEFIT EVERYONE: First of all, we are not sitting on your money. It is through the use of your reservation deposits that we actually secure your hotel rooms, seats at dinner theatres, reserved seats at sporting events, meal functions, etc. The long and short of it is that these component parts of tours will not give us space unless deposits are put down to secure them. Many times deposits are non-refundable so we will not secure tickets until you reserve. So as to not penalize you for early reservations, we always allow you to have full refund up until deadlines as shown above. Another reason is that in top quality hotels and in the better itinerary events, which we always include, spaces are strictly limited. As you can imagine, hotel accommodations in the prime destinations we include in our travel programs are in great demand. If we cannot provide the hotel with your names, they will take our blocked spaces back and sell them elsewhere. And they should. It costs you practically nothing for your reservation deposits. With our “up to date of final payment” Money-Back Guarantee, all you are out is the loss of the use of your money during the time you have deposited. This is only pennies a day. It is certainly worth much more than a few pennies a day to be assured spaces on the tour you want; to be assured of top seating at included events, and quality hotel accommodations and locations. You have everything to gain by acting now to reward yourselves. IMPORTANT: See following details of new and included Group Protection Plan coverage! Exclusive New Travel Protection Benefits · To better serve our travelers effective with all Please Go Away™ Vacations personally escorted group departure reservations received in our offices after September 30, 2006, for 2007 and later departures, there is included in the cost of the tour travel insurance protections provided by the Travel Guard Group Protection Plan. Provisions of this plan cannot be waived by traveler and they generally provide protection in the event of cancellations and/or trip interruptions occurring before or during travels necessitated by covered reasons. The provisions of this plan are not applicable for changes of mind or other voluntary cancellations or voluntary trip interruptions. You may obtain a copy of coverage provisions from the offices of Please Go Away™ Vacations. You may well desire to acquire additional travel protection coverage. If so, this is likewise available in the offices of Please Go Away™ Vacations. Please ask questions. · The monetary investments you make in travel plans and arrangements are very substantial and are subject to very significant cancellation fees and various assessments imposed by many different components and suppliers of any travel experience. Various amounts can be imposed depending upon actual date and circumstances of cancellations and/or travel interruptions, possibly totaling 100%, or even greater, of the amounts you paid, in cancellation assessments . · We “do not” recommend the protection plans offered by individual cruise lines and/or individual tour operators. These are most often very limited in scope and are quite often misleading and/or unclear in their coverage provisions. There are normally a number of excluded situations in their plans, which preclude complete recovery, or which do not sufficiently provide maximum coverage for the expenses incurred for the overall components of your travel experience. Such plans have been subject to numerous failed protections and complaints. · It is the opinion of Cheyenne Travel/Please Go Away™ Vacations that the Travel Guard protection provided through this exclusive new travel protection benefits program is superior in that: premiums are fully refundable if trip doesn’t operate or cancellations occur before imposition dates of cancellation assessments; pre-existing health conditions/impairments are generally covered; it is generally less expensive than many other policies; it provides a 24-hour emergency telephone number, it is better for our travelers than cruise line/tour company plans; and it covers most cancelled air flight situations. · Cheyenne Travel/Please Go Away™ Vacations acts only as agent for Travel Guard and all decisions as to policy interpretations and coverage are made solely by Travel Guard, as is true with “all” available insurance protection plans.
FRIENDSHIP BONUS PLAN It is very enjoyable and rewarding for friends to experience the unique and unusual aspects of a Please Go Away™ Vacations leisure vacations and cruises -- aspects that make our travels truly different. To reward you for having persons "go away" with us who have not “gone away" with us before, we have created our exclusive Friendship Bonus Plan. Have friends "go away" on one or more of our leisure vacation or cruise (whether “on your own” or personally hosted) two nights or more in length and we will forward to you, upon the completion of their travels, your choice of a 1% cash bonus or 2% future travel credit. These percentage amounts are applied to the cost of their travels. It is not necessary for you to travel with your friends; although it is very enjoyable when you do. There is no limit as to the number of times you can qualify. Necessary forms to be used in qualifying for the Friendship Bonus Plan are contained in each catalog and are otherwise available. RECOMMENDED AMOUNTS OF TRIP INTERRUPTION/ CANCELLATION INSURANCES As an exclusive benefit of Please Go Away™ Vacations such insurances are included in the cost of each tour. This benefit is fully described on the reverse of this page. You should ask any questions you may have so that you fully understand the protection provided to you. If you desire additional insurance coverage provisions to be in place you should visit with the travel professional with whom you reserve any tour at the time of making reservation. The travel professional will be able to provide you with explanations and recommendations. PRICES Prices indicated are per person, based on double occupancy. A limited number of single accommodations are available at an additional cost. Tour price includes charges for planning, operating and servicing the tour. All prices are based on rates expected to be in effect at time of departure and are subject to change. TRIPLE & QUAD OCCUPANCY Triple and quad occupancies are often available at slightly reduced rates, but are definitely not recommended for other than immediate family members. Triple and quad occupancy may well mean 3 or 4 persons sleeping in two beds -- roll away beds are often not available. Single occupancy is normally available at additional cost. There are instances where triple and quad occupancies are not available. SPECIAL SINGLES SERVICE & GUARANTEED SHARE BOOKINGS Once your reservations are received, and if you desire, attempts to secure persons to share rooms will be made. Roommates will not be arbitrarily assigned to Special Singles Service bookings. You will be given the opportunity of accepting or rejecting any possible roommate, but you are responsible for paying single supplement should no suitable roommate be found. With a Guaranteed Share Basis booking, you are guaranteed double occupancy price, but must accept whatever roommate is assigned to you. The guaranteed share benefit is available only to non-smokers; or smokers who will agree in writing to not smoke in rooming accommodations shared with a non-smoker. NON-SMOKING MOTOR COACHES All motor coaches utilized on Please Go Away™ Vacations are nonsmoking. There will be periodic stops to allow for smoking off the coach. POSSIBLE CHANGES IN ITINERARY From time to time, conditions beyond our control change between selection of facility and travelers’ arrival. No changes in itinerary, hotels, or routings are expected, but we reserve the right to make them, if necessary. Occasionally, the land portion of your tour may be extended or curtailed because of unforeseen changes in transportation schedules. There may also be other instances in which changes become necessary or advisable. Any resultant expenses will be borne by the tour members, any savings will be refunded upon return. ALTERNATIVE MODES OF TRANSPORTATION The various travel experiences described in this travel catalog generally include transportation in the prices shown. We realize a number of our travelers, for a number of reasons, may prefer a different type of transportation (for example, to avoid flying). Our travel professionals will be pleased to provide you with satisfactory alternative modes of transportation. Just visit with us. Prices will be adjusted accordingly. Savings or additional costs will be calculated and passed along to you. BAGGAGE Tips to porters are included for one piece of luggage. There will be a $5 dollar per day per bag charge for every additional bag handled for you, including flight bags. The tour escort will collect this from you at the beginning .of the trip unless you have prepaid. Garment bags cannot be carried. Baggage Insurance, as well as other related travel insurances and travel protection plans, are available and are definitely recommended. TIPS TO GUIDES. ESCORTS. DRIVERS. ETC Customary end-of-tour driver and escort; as well as local driver and guide gratuities, are not included. Such gratuities are solely at the discretion of the traveler, but are recommended for the tour driver and tour escort; as well as local drivers and guides. If your tour escort is also a full time employee/owner of Please Go Away™ Vacations they would prefer no tips be given them. NOT INCLUDED IN TOURS Not included are items of a personal nature, such as purchases at gift shops or phone calls; on board cruise ships, shore excursions, liquor, and services such as massage and hairdressing are not included. Traditional "end of cruise" tips to stateroom stewards, waiters and busboys are not included. Foreign departure taxes, where applicable, are not included. NOTICE Cheyenne Travel Agency, Inc. and/or Please Go Away™ Vacations give notice that all tickets, vouchers, and coupons issued by them and all arrangements for transportation or conveyance or for hotel or lodging or for sightseeing services made by them, are made by them as agent for all involved operators, charter organizers, air/ocean/land carriers, hotels and all other suppliers without exception and upon express condition that they shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reasons of defect in any vehicle or through the acts or default of any company or person that is engaged in conveying the passenger, furnishing rental cars to him, furnishing sightseeing services to him, or that participates in carrying out the arrangements of the tour or otherwise in connection therewith, or of any hotel or lodging or employee of said hotel or lodging. All prices are based upon those in effect at time of brochure printing and/or expected to be in effect at time of travel and are subject to change. These limitations of responsibility and liability likewise extend to any sponsoring person, persons, or organization. Cancellation, interruption and other Insurances are definitely recommended.
