The St. Edward's Knights of Columbus organization of the Kinsley, KS area has implemented a very unique and successful custom travel fund raising program to support its many charitable activities.

Developed in cooperation with Please Go Away(tm) Vacations, quality travel programs are featured in an annual promotion that has customers literally standing in line to be able to participate and make their contribution.  A representative of Please Go Away(tm) Vacations is always present to assist organizers of the fund raiser.  Attendance is capacity controlled.  Over the past decade a net amount of approximately $30,000 has been added to the organization's treasury through this much anticipated annual event.

In addition to generating funds to support charitable activities, a tremendous amount of long lasting goodwill is also generated among organization members and community/county residents, further elevating the organization's area-wide reputation and benefitting the organization in achieving its overall goals of service and helping others.  A major positive result of the program is the fact that monies are used locally and everyone is able to see first hand the good it does for the community.

In addition, K of C members and their families also receive the benefits of specially created non-group travel program that results in perks and savings on leisure vacations and cruises that are not otherwise available.  This benefit package has proven to be an ideal membership benefit that has assisted in the areas of membership retention.
